I caught up with GISELLE LA RONDE-WEST recently at the Trinidad Hilton and Conference Centre where she once worked and maintains the respect and admiration of many staff members at the hotel. She and I have been speaking about doing a Basia interview for some time. She admits that she is not the typical ultra glamorous Miss World and has always been a tomboy by nature. It is for this reason perhaps that she is well accomplished in a sport like karate, in which she has a second-degree black belt.  Today she adds her signature jewellery to her line up of accomplishments.
