The 'OTHER' Woman

There is the other woman who is literally “the other wife”! This type of woman has the same privileges as the wife. Or so it appears! She attends the same social events as the wife on alternate occasions, goes on overseas trips and benefits financially from the relationship. In some cases she is maintained financially. In others she also has the other children. She is introduced to family members and close friends and the general public. This is ‘the other woman’ that everybody knows about and sometimes resents but must pretend to like. She comes with her own power. This is the kind of woman the wife knows about but is very good at ignoring. She leaves the relationship when she is ready and on her own terms. What’s in it for her? She has a man who loves her and does not keep her a secret from his friends and family; a man who treats her like a wife, without having to care for him full time. In her mind, the only reason he has not left home as yet is because of the children!

At least that’s what he says.
