I laid eyes on Wendy Fitzwilliam...
We were both fourth form students and were selected to represent our respective schools at the Junior Achievement (JA) Programme for young achievers. This was many years ago before she dreamed of having Ailan and I, RJ and Ross. It was at Junior Achievement that we were both introduced to modelling. At that moment I knew that something was different about her. While most, if not all the girls who took part in the JA fashion show were very lovely, she stood out in my mind because of her grace and poise. Did I know then that the name Wendy Fitzwilliam would go down in history and she would become famous? No! After our JA days, we went our separate ways and both pursued excellence in our academic endeavours.

For our meeting we decided to meet at the Hilton Trinidad for lunch and to do our interview. At the end of the evening, I thanked her for choosing Basia. I commended her on doing an excellent job balancing her multifaceted role as mother, businesswoman, author and Weniverse! And I reminded her that I am still waiting on the wedding I have planned in my head for her and she laughs!
